What Parrlo Translate is
Parrlo Translate is a consecutive translation app. It turns your spoken language into a correct sentence in another language and translates the other person’s reply. By installing or using Parrlo you agree to these terms.
Account and age
Some features need an account: you sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 14 years old; “My Voice” requires you to be 18 or older.
AI-generated content
Translations and voices are generated by an artificial intelligence system. “My Voice” audio is a synthetic voice and is marked as synthesised content.
Accuracy of translation
Parrlo helps people understand each other but can make mistakes. Don’t rely on the app alone where an error could be dangerous or have legal consequences: medical care, contracts, courts, police, official procedures. In such cases use a professional translator. In an emergency, call 112.
Rules of use
You may not use Parrlo for unlawful purposes, to deceive, threaten or harass people, or try to hack the app or extract or copy its models.
Your voice
Translation in your voice (“My Voice”) is available only to users aged 18 or older, after their explicit consent, and only for their own voice. You may not record or use another person’s voice without that person’s consent, or pass off synthesised speech as another person’s.
Subscriptions and right of withdrawal
Some features may be offered by paid subscription, bought in the iOS app (App Store, processed by Apple, which also handles renewal, cancellation and refunds for those purchases) or on app.parrlo.com (Stripe). Before you pay on the web you must expressly request that the service start immediately and acknowledge that, if you withdraw, you will pay only for the time already used (arts. 103(a) and 108(3) of the Spanish consumer law, TRLGDCU). After payment we send you the contract confirmation by email.
As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days without giving a reason (art. 102 TRLGDCU). If you asked for the service to start immediately and you then withdraw, we refund what you paid minus the share for the time already used until you told us. To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from contract” button in your account on app.parrlo.com, which confirms the withdrawal to you by email immediately, or send an unequivocal statement to [email protected]. We refund within 14 days at most, by the same payment method.
Intellectual property
The app, its models, design and the Parrlo name belong to PADELADA WORLD, S.L. The texts you create are yours.
Liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage caused by translation errors or failures. This does not limit your consumer rights under Spanish and EU law.
Violations
If you believe something in the service breaks the law or infringes people’s rights, tell us through the “Report a violation” page.
Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms; we will give advance notice of material changes. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
